**Dan's Note**

You may have noticed today's comic is not as funkalicious as usual in terms of the visuals. Basically, Mike is having computer troubles, and I am bogged down with life in general, and neither of us felt like starting our week with zero sleep. Well, it's been a year. Can ya believe it? Maybe today's comic is a tribute to our favorite funnies. Maybe today's comic is inspired by a conversation we had where Peter described this comic as "Garfield but with people" which I think is the worst pitch I've ever heard. Really, just awful.

Anyway, I love Calvin and Hobbes. I think it's cool that a year ago, we went to the New England Webcomics Weekend. Which reminds me... check out Oak Street Wilds, which I still describe as Calvin and Hobbes meets Samurai Jack.

As you might have guessed, I've had the Oscars on my mind as of late. I know full well that the Oscars are not actually a measure of how good or bad a movie actually is. There are tons of movies I love that get no recognition as well as movies that get way more recognition than I think they deserve. I just like having something to follow. It's like watching all the AFI Top 100 something or others. Just something to do.
