Dear Readers,

Well, it would look as though things are getting pretty tense at the apartment!

And get a load of this! Peter ate 40 wings at All-You-Can-Eat-Wings last night! Check it out!

Come back on Friday!

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

Well, this is the start of something special. Peter's birthday is coming up, as well as our 100th comic, so we figured, "Why not combine these 2 things?"

We hope you enjoy this particular story line... it's a project several months in the making.

Oh, and it's Yom Kippur! That means two things... 1) Peter and I are going to watch Schindler's List while I drink too much and cry (yes, this HAS happened) and 2) Peter's going to eat and drink as much as he can before sunset so he can fast tomorrow.

Bonus! We get to break the fast with all-you-can-eat wings!

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

OK, so maybe I've had a weird obsession with Nixon lately. I just think he's a really interesting character. His own insecurities are the very thing that brought him down.

But I'm not gay for Nixon.

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers!

Happy Birthday, Bruce Springsteen!!

Here's a new comic. Peter collects free shit he doesn't need ALL the time.

If the comic is up late, it's not Dan's fault, it's mine. We've been pretty busy lately...

Love,
Mike!

---Dan's Note---

I keep telling Mike that the 12:00AM - 12:30AM time slot is when we get most of our hits, but he just does not listen. I apologize to the many hundreds of readers who are now boycotting our comic as a result of this atrocity.

sarcastically yours,
-Dan

Hello Readers,

This is a question I often ask myself... am I a hipster? I think it's a fair question as there's no actual definition what a hipster is.

Well, come back on Wednesday.

Oh! Check out our Wikipedia page! Feel free to edit! It seems like the sort of thing other people should be writing anyway.

Love,
Mike!

Hello Readers,

Here's a new comic.

I think I should take the time to state for the record that I have read and enjoyed books by Michael Crichton, John Grisham, Tom Clancy, and Dan Brown.

Come back next week or else.

Love,
Mike!

From Peter:

Hi everybody,

I wanted to talk to you today about something a little more serious than we usually do here. Next Sunday I'll be riding in the Hub on Wheels bike ride, the beneficiary of which is a charity called "Technology Goes Home." TGH is a program through the Boston Public Schools that provides underprivileged students and their families with computers, software, and training that they might not be able to get otherwise. Maybe fifteen years ago you could have gotten along in life without knowing how to use email, word processors, spreadsheets, and the like, but in the 21st century it's just not an option. These people help to make sure that even the poorest kids have access to a level playing field.

That being said, I would love it if any of you wanted to make a donation sponsoring me. We do a lot of work here at The World Wasn't Meant, so if you appreciate the things that we produce three times a week, a hope you would consider giving what you can. Think of it this way: today we posted our 85th comic. If you spent 30 seconds reading each one, that amounts to 42.5 minutes of your life spent staring at our stupid faces. That's roughly half the length of a typical movie, so if you feel like you've received more than half a movie ticket's worth of entertainment value, I would encourage you to give what you can. Anyway, here's the link to make a donation. Any little bit helps. And here you can find out more information about Technology Goes Home.

Thanks!

-Peter

Hello readers,

This comic happened after a discussion about Napoleon Dynamite... it's a fun game! Try to come up with the most pretentious way to describe a movie.

Come back Friday!

Check out Twitter and Facebook!

Love,
Mike!

Hello Readers,

Don't you love comics about Cold War turning points?

This was a CRAZY weekend. Dan came up to visit and we worked on a special project... Let's just say we shot about 9 comics in the past 36 hours, and then we made this one.

Love,
Mike!

Hello Readers,

I wrote this one a long time ago... like February. And we finally made it into a comic!

This is an exciting weekend coming up! Dan is coming to visit for a special project we're starting soon... Sunday will be our 6-month anniversary... And I think I'm gonna get a blender!

Anyway, see you again on Monday!

Love,
Mike!

Dan's note:

Ahoy! Take a gander back at Monday's comic, which I finally got around to finalizing! Now it's off to bed with me - I need to get up early and have my car tire repaired so I can drive up to Mass tomorrow! Someone should tell the New Haven road crews not to leave 4 inch screws lying in the street.

-Dan!

Hello Readers,

BRIAN JUST THREW A NERF DART AT PETER AND IT STUCK TO HIS STOMACH!!!

Anyway, here's a new comic. We got a new couch!

Sorry Monday's comic didn't look so great... I've been really behind with these and couldn't get it to Dan in time to fix all my mistakes like he normally does... I think he said he would post his updated version tonight, so check out Monday's and see if it looks magically better.

Check out our Twitter and Facebook!

Oh, and today is totally 9/9/09. Do something about it.

Love,
Mike!

Dan's note:

Yeah, I totally spent like six hours playing Shadow Complex yesterday instead of polishing up Monday's comic. Perhaps tonight?

Hello readers,

You like corn, don't you? It's really good when it's from New Jersey.

The last time Peter brought back this much corn, he ate 6 ears in one sitting and was sick for 3 days.

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

Guess my arm is better than I thought. Now I just need Peter to leave it alone for a few weeks, and I'll be good as new.

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

Turns out I can do all sorts of things with my arm while it's healing... even use a phone!

For the half of Boston that was moving yesterday, I hope it went well.

Tango tango yankee lima!

Love,
Mike!
