Hello readers,

This comic is based on several true stories. I like to think of myself as a non-threatening, not-very-scary sort of person.

This is not true if I am hungry and someone gets in the way of my eating. Dan and Brian knocked a Big Mac out of my hands once... it wasn't pretty.

Anyway, these sandwiches were provided by Bottega Fiorentina. Great sandwiches, I recommend the Prosciutto.

Come back on Friday for an explosive new comic!

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

Today's comic is about the greatest video game ever and how Peter may be a giant nerd in his own right, but is an idiot about nerd culture. Seriously, Ocarina of Time rocks, I still think it's the greatest video game I've ever played. It's proof that you can have the greatest graphics in the world, but without a good story and fun gameplay, whatever.

My family will be staying with us for most of this week... I can't guarantee any comics will come of it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

Today's comic is all about our latest and greatest idea ever. Don't actually do this, it's probably illegal.

Mike!

Hello readers,

Well, it's been pretty exciting here today. We managed to get this comic finished in time for your reading pleasure. We also found this review which is pretty cool. Check it out!

Also, I got to take Peter to the Emergency Room over a bee sting. He's OK now, we actually had a great time! We thought about taking pictures to make a comic, but there was no one to hold the camera and we didn't think the hospital staff would appreciate the tripod set-up in their busy hallways.

And we found out about this today... which is exciting to say the least. So I guess we're gonna go to Boston next spring.

Come back on Wednesday!

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

So maybe you've noticed we've had some technical difficulties this week. They should all be better now. Just in time for Shabbot!

We're going to making some changes to the site pretty soon, so keep an eye out for that, and we'll keep you updated.

Love,
Mike!

Shalom!

So a little back-story to today's comic, and some notes on religion:

When I was growing up, my parents raised me under that sort of generic brand of American Protestantism that really doesn't require that you believe in anything specific. We celebrated Christmas and Easter, but we never went to church or anything, and I was never baptized. Perhaps this explains my comment in our first comic that "I've never read [the Bible], but I get the gist of what's in there."

Fast forward now to the summer of my 19th year. My mother, in a rampage of genealogy, discovered that her mother's mother's mother's mother's mother (or something) was verifiably Jewish. And according to Jewish law, it's passed down only through the mothers. So by some quirk in the universe, I, bearing the same name as the first Pope, am officially as Jewish as anyone else in the world, up to and including Moses himself.

Now, how does this revelation actually affect my life? I don't keep Kosher, I drive and use electricity on Saturdays, and I (obviously) haven't grown out my payot. On the other hand, my parents divorced when I was 10, and my mother remarried a Jewish man. So I have fasted for Yom Kippur, held the chuppah at my (step-)cousin's wedding, and two years ago that half of my family quit Christmas cold turkey. On the other other hand, my father remarried a Presbyterian minister, so really, it all pretty much balances out in the end.

Overall, Mike is probably right. I play the Jewish card mostly to make his life inconvenient, though I would not be above using my rather tenuous (read: rock solid) connection to the Jewish people for my own benefit, such as qualifying for Birthright Israel, or getting VIP tickets for when the Messiah comes. I think you can read into this as a microcosm of the plight of the diaspora Jews living in etc. etc. etc. I'm bored writing this sentence now. Anyway, I hope you think the comic is funny.

Shalom,
Peter

Hi Everybody!

Today's comic is about something very near and dear to my heart: free/discounted things. You see I graduated Boston University a couple years ago, (Go Terriers!) and it was only recently that they started heaping on the alumni stuff. Man alive, the things I get... Library books! I can check out as many library books as I want! For free! Subscription to the alumni magazine! Heck yes! I can buy food in their student union without it being considered trespassing on private property! Nice!

Ahh... all this free stuff really takes me back. I have fond memories of Sunday mornings in the dining hall, poring over the coupon section of the Boston Globe, tearing out coupons for things I would never normally buy but was compelled to because of the discount. I swear to you I once lived for a month on $40 worth of groceries.

Anyway, I think Mike was trying to talk about something throughout all of this. At the moment, I can't really recall what, but since I only listen to about every fourth word he says in general, and there was something extra-exciting going on, I don't think much more could have been expected of me.

Now you all have a nice day. I hear July 15th is like Bastille Day's Boxing Day in France. That's a lie -- I don't know what they're doing in France today.

May the force be with you,
Peter

Hello Readers,

Well, here it is. The conclusion to 20,000 Drinks Under the Sea. I miss those crazy, drunken days in Ocean City, but it is good to be home.

My mom asked me if I ever got as drunk as I did in the comic. I told her, "No one carries me. No one."

Come back Monday for new, fun adventures!

Love,
Mike!

Hello Readers,

Well, here's Part 5 of 20,000 Drinks Under the Sea. It takes a lot to get me staggering, so it's safe to assume that it's time to go home when I need help walking.

We've still got one more chapter in this little saga, so be sure to come again on Friday for the shocking conclusion to our story.

Love,
Mike!

Hello Readers,

Well that was quite a weekend, wasn't it? Fourth of July, Brian's birthday... it had it all!

ANYWAY... here's the new comic. It's Part 4 in 20,000 Drinks Under the Sea! Totally based on a true story, I can roll like a demon if I've had a drink or two. I got so many tickets I won a Gandalf Zippo lighter.

Come back Wednesday!

Love,
Mike!

Hello readers,

Well, here's the new comic! What kind of mess will we find when we get home, I wonder.

Big news this weekend! That's right, it's Brian's birthday on Sunday! The big 2-3. Halfway to 46. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. No message other than Happy Birthday. Surely, the best of times.

Come back on Monday for part 4, in the meantime, Happy America Day!

Love,
Mike

Hello readers,

Here's part 2 of "20,000 Drinks Under the Sea". We welcome any ideas you may have for inappropriate sports team names on our forums.

We'd also like to remind you (or if this is your first time reading, tell you) to follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter. Make The World Wasn't Meant part of your 24-hour news cycle. It's probably more important than what some random jackass you went to middle school is eating right now, so it might as well be on the feed.

Love,
Mike!
